GlossyBox October 2013 ♥

Hello Lovlies!!

Is it just me or are the months flying past, I couldn't believe it when my October GlossyBox arrived on my doorstep last week. I always look forward to receiving my GlossyBox the element of surprise always gives you something to look forward to each month, However this month I was left feeling somewhat very disappointed with my box. I always see the odd negative review floating around when its GlossyBox time but this month I think every review I have read has been negative so this didn't fill me with joy while I was waiting for mine to arrive. The theme of the box was dark romance what with it being autumn and all I thought that was a good theme that had so much potential but I really didn't feel the products in the box matched the theme that well at all. I have always been pleased with my boxes theres always the odd product you think whaaaat or you just chuck in a draw but on a whole I have been impressed. This month was clearly just a naff box all round as I said above I haven't seen one review which says differently. Anyway I will stop moaning and let you see what I received.

Me Me Me Cherub Blush Cheek and Lip tint and Monu Illuminating Primer - These were the best products in the Box I think, The Cherubs cheek and lip tint is very similar to Benetint by Benefit, I have never owned a tint before just because they don't really appeal to me but since I received this in my box I will give it a whirl, this product was full size. The Monu Illuminating Primer is a 20 ml Sample size so big enough for a few uses, it's not particularly illuminating if at all actually but it feels soft on the skin so lets see how well it works as a primer.

Mystic Diamond Argon Oil and Harmony Moisturising Smoothie Serum - These are both tiny samples especially the hair oil I know you don't need a lot when using air oil but I think you will push getting anymore than 2 uses out of this, in all honesty I will probably palm this off to someone else (sorry mum) as I'm quite set in my ways with my current hair oils it doesn't have much of a scent so that was a little disappointing. The Smoothie Serum is meant to have a Lemon grass scent but again smells of nothingness weird! I will give it a try as you never know it might be nice if not il send it mums way.

I actually quite like this perfume and it has got a nice wintery feel about it but I will be honest I get really annoyed with perfume samples like this as I could go to my local Debenahms and pick up like 6 of these for free. I always feel these samples are a bit of a cop out.

So there was my October GlossyBox, what did you think? Maybe I was being a little harsh but I was just overly disappointed this month mostly because everything (except the tint) was a tiny sample size hopefully next months will be better. GlossyBox September 2013 ♥

Hello Dolls. 

I can't believe its this time again already but it is...GlossyBox timeeeee. wahoooo. I still love receiving my Glossybox every month and Ive said before I have never been disappointed with my box and this month was no exception in fact this month was easily the best box I have ever got.

I loved a themed box and this months theme in case you cant guess was London to celebrate the start of London fashion week, I love this box it's so cute, the box also came with a magazine which was a nice little touch. Right so on to what I got in my box. 

First up we have Eylure Pre-Glued Lashes, These look very interesting not sure how well they will stick but I am looking forward to giving them a try, the lashes are really pretty I saw a few people got these so I was hoping I would find them in my box woooooo! 

Next we have Rimmel's Stay Matte Cream Blush in the colour Sun-kissed Cherry, I was made up when I saw this little beauty Literally the day before I got my box I had picked one up in Boots and swatched it on the back of my hand and really liked it, I didn't buy it but you know when you pick something up and put it back for the rest of the day your like ohhhhh I really want that now, so to get this was great I can now test it out and see how it wears :) 

Here we have Be A Bombshell Eyeliner in Onyx (Black), This is a felt tip liner, I have been desperate to try a felt tip liner the amount of times I have picked one up and put it back down is a joke so this made me very happy and I will get lots of use out of this. 

Here we have Toni&Guy Classic Shine Gloss Serum (limited edition) again another product I will get lots of use out of as I Actually own the Toni&guy shine spray which I use a lot so I look forward to trying this hopefully it won't make my hair greasy as some serums do. 

Lastly I received a little tester bottle of Elizabeth Ardens Untold Perfume, Ive never got a perfume sample in my box before and I love a good Perfume, this is perfect handbag size the scent is quite versatile I think, suitable for both evening wear and daytime wear so I will definitely be popping this in my handbag :) PS- SOOOOO sorry about the quality of this picture not quite sure what I was thinking my eyes are awful note to self wear glasses when taking photos, sorry guys.

My First Ever GlossyBox//May 2013 ♥

 

Good evening my beauties.

Tonight's post is all about my first ever GlossyBox, I know I am like a million years late with the GlossyBox trend but its something I've always loved the idea of and every time I see posts on them I think to myself ohhhh I want one but I never get round to subscribing. However this month I finally did it yaaaaaaay!! For those who are not familiar with GlossyBox Its £10 a month with the added cost of P&P which is £2.95 so it comes to a monthly total of £12.95 and GlossyBox guarantee the contents of the box is always more than what you pay.  

 

As you can imagine the second I subscribed I was mega excited for my first box to arrive, I ordered it last Monday evening and it came Saturday (just gone) morning. I fell in love with the packaging alone the super cute box, tissue paper and ribbons, massive love heart eyes eeeek!!

I was really happy with the contents of my box :) I am yet to use everything that I recieved but I will say I have been using the L'Occitane Hydration cream and I absolutely love it I will 100% be repurchasing this!!
