MAC Pigment - Tan ♥

Can we all just take a moment for this pigment…………..Thank you. Its safe to say I am head over heals about this pigment, it is so gorgeous. Obsessed. 

I have been loving copper eyes recently, MAC's eyeshadow in the colour Coppering being my most used eyeshadow of the minute. I have hazel eyes so I find copper shades to be quite flattering. When I saw this pigment I just knew I had to have it and can you blame me!! 

MAC's Tan Pigment is a warm red-toned medium brown shade with a champagne shimmer within. Tan is a beautifully metallic pigment so it truly makes the eyes pop. It can be used for both subtle and heavier eye looks. In the daytime I have been using this dry just lightly dusting it over my lids using a MAC 217 brush, however if you wet a flat eyeshadow brush and press it on to your lids its even more metallic and almost has a 3 dimensional look to it. 

Fallout is what puts me off buying more pigments I must admit as they are loose and can be extremely fiddly to work with, but I was actually really impressed with how little fallout I got with this, and I have even been using it along my lower lash line and still getting minimal fallout yaaaay. 

I don't think I could say enough amazing things about this pigment it is my new favourite eye colour without a doubt. I have heard that some people also use this as a highlighter along the cheek bones but I am yet to try this, so I'll let you know when I do.

REVIEW // MAC Coral Bliss Lipstick ♥

Happy Easter lovelies, I hope you are all enjoying the long weekend and plan on eating your body weight in chocolate on Sunday…I know I will be!! 

Today I am here to share with you my latest MAC lipstick purchase Coral Bliss. I have been after this lipstick for ages but every time I go to buy it its always sold out, however I was lucky enough to nab it during a late night shopping trip, yay for me. 

Coral Bliss is a gorgeous soft pink coral shade with a beautiful glossy finish. It is one of Mac's Creamsheen formulas. MAC's creamsheen lipsticks are in fact my favourite out of all the MAC lipsticks, I love the way they feel on the lips and the gorgeous glossy finish they give. Coral Bliss is no exception, you can see from the swatch above just how glossy this shade is. 

Coral bliss is such an easy colour to wear which makes it ideal for an everyday lipstick, It looks so natural on the lips. In terms of what skin tones this lipstick would suit it's a definite all rounder. Some coral lipsticks can look quite garish on those of us who are naturally very pale (booooo hoooo pass me the fake tan) however Coral Bliss is perfect for lighter skin tones as it really is just such a subtle shade, I also can't wait to wear this with a bit of tan because I think it will look amazing. 

Just one swipe of Coral Bliss is the perfect pop of colour, however it can be easily built up for a more intense look. Being a creamsheen lipstick the wear time isn't amazing, true to creamsheen form you can get about 3 hours out of this. For me the wear time isn't a problem because it's such a fool proof formula and you can easily reapply without the use of a mirror which makes it the perfect handbag companion.

Disney's Frozen // Queen Elsa Inspired Make-Up ♥

I finally got round to watching Frozen this week wahooo, I was actually gutted I missed it at the Cinema as I love a good Disney film, who doesn't?! Whilst watching it I couldn't help but admire Queen Elsa's make-up (did anyone else do this or am I just really sad) I decided to create a purple/pinky make-up look inspired by hers. I know this is a little different to my normal posts but I had mentioned on Twitter a few weeks back (@Tiffsbeautyboxx) that I wanted to start doing some 'Inspired' make-up posts on my blog, so here goes. I hope you enjoy :) 

Skin

I began by priming my skin with Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Cream mixed with MAC's Strobe Cream as I wanted to create glowing skin. For my foundation I used Nars Sheer Glow in the colour Mont Blanc mixed with Illamasqua's Skin Base foundation in the shade SB 02, I wanted to try and create a really flawless base which is why I went in heavier than usual with my foundations. I used Collection lasting perfection concealer to conceal any redness and a few spots I had dotted around, this was in the shade Cool Medium 2. To highlight I used MAC's Prep and Prime pen in the colour Radiant Rose, I applied this under my eyes and down my nose. To contour I used a Bobbi Brown foundation stick in the colour Warm Walnut, I applied this in the hollows of my cheeks and down the sides of my nose. I wanted to keep the contour really subtle so I really buffed it in to my skin. To set under my eyes I used MAC's Translucent powder and to set the rest of my face I used MAC's MSF in the shade Medium. I lightly went back over the areas I contoured previously with MAC's MSF in the colour Give Me Sun. I didn't use a bronzer as I wanted to try and keep my skin pale. I used Sleeks powder blush in the colour Pixie pink on the apples of my cheeks. 

Eyes

I began by lightly defining my crease with a very light beige/brown shade from my Crown Brush Professional 88 palette, I then used NYX Jumbo Pencil in the colour Milk to 'prime' my eyes, I applied this all over the lid and blended with my finger. I love to use this pencil when working with vibrant colours as it really makes them stand out and keep the colours true. I then took a fuchsia pink from the same crown brush palette and applied that in to my crease and blended, I also went over the pink with an aubergine shade from the same palette, I blended it in to the crease and down to the outer corner, I kept going until I was happy with the intensity. Then from the same Crown Brush palette I took a light pinky/purple shade and washed that over then lid. I wanted to create a frosted effect so I applied MAC's Vanilla pigment all over the lid to really make the purple shimmer. What Disney inspired make-up look would be complete without glitter? None thats right,  I took a purple glitter and lightly pressed that over my lid for some added sparkle. I ran the same pinky/purple from the Crown Brush palette on to my lower lash line and also went over that with some Vanilla pigment and blended, I also used vanilla pigment to highlight my brow bone and the inner corners of my eye. I finished the look off by lining my upper and lower lash lines and waterline/tight-line with a black kohl eye liner pencil from NARS. For my lashes I used L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara, I didn't apply false lashes for this look but if I was wearing this for a night out I would definitely pop some lashes on. 

I wanted to keep my brows looking natural so I used Benefits Brow-zings in the shade light and just gently brushed the powder in to my brows with an angled brush, I then set them using Benefits Gimme Brow. 

Lips

For my lips I used MACS Plumful lipstick as this was the closet match I had to Elsa's lip colour, I think it worked pretty well and complimented the eye makeup.

REVIEW // MAC Costa Chic Lipstick ♥

Hello lovelies I am here today with yet another lipstick, god I seriously don't know whats wrong with me at the moment lipstick obsessed. As we are now in spring and summer is that little bit closer I decided to treat myself to a summery lipstick (thats a good excuse right). I went for MAC's Costa Chic. 

Costa Chic is a gorgeously vibrant coral colour. It is one of MAC's frosted lipsticks which I must admit frightened me a little at first as I had images of looking like an 80's throwback but alas, the frosting is super subtle and in fact quite unnoticeable when the lipstick is applied lightly. I have found the best way to apply this is to pop a single layer straight from the bullet to the lips and work it in with my fingers. 

Costa Chic is wonderfully pigmented so one swipe is more than enough for a bright, even application. It glides effortlessly on to the lips. On first application it feels really moisturising, however after a few hours wear it can begin to feel quite drying, but fear not a little lip balm fixes this no problemooo. I have found the wear time to be around 4 or so hours however it does leave a coral tint to the lips. I don't really feel the need to constantly keep reapplying this lipstick because of the fact is does leave a tint to the lips. As I mentioned above, when it does begin to wear off pop a little balm or coral gloss on to the lips for an instant revamp. 

Costa Chic is such a perfect summer shade, it instantly brightens up your face. I think this lipstick is an all rounder when it comes to skin tones, as I have said before I am very pale and it still looks nice on me so I can only imagine how it would look on darker skin tones!! 

As Costa Chic is such a vibrant colour I think it would work best with neutral eye make-up, it would also look gorgeous with a simple winged liner.

REVIEW // Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream ♥

I have never before owned a CC or BB cream, I don't know why I guess they just never really appealed to me, I like a good coverage foundation and I thought I could never get that from a BB/CC cream. Recently every time I have been in to Boots or Superdrug this has been catching my eye, so the other day I decided to break away from tradition and give it a whirl. 

The 123 Perfect CC Cream comes in only 4 shades which is quite limited but maybe the reasoning for that is because it's not technically a foundation. I of course being miss pale opted for the lightest shade, 31-Ivory. 

The 123 Perfect CC Cream has a lightweight oil-free texture. It blends effortlessly in to the skin and feels extremely light once applied. I have been using my Crown Brush Deluxe rounded buffer to apply this but I believe because of its texture it would go on just as nice using your fingers. The consistency of the CC cream is runny and in fact similar to that of MAC's Face and Body foundation if you are familiar with that product. 

The product contains 3 colour correcting pigments which help to battle redness, tiredness and dark spots, it also contains SPF 15 and claims to hydrate the skin for 24 hours. I can safely say it does feel really moisturising on the skin when applied and throughout the time you are wearing it. 

I would say the Bourjois CC Cream leans more towards being a foundation than a tinted moisturiser, it offers a light to medium build-able coverage with a satin-matte finish, I have found 2 drops is more than enough for me. I love how this CC Cream looks on, it's so luminous and really does wake your skin up, it also gives your skin that blurred effect at the same time as keeping it natural. 

Swatched on my hand the cream looks a little too yellow for me but once blended its fine. You can see from the photos above the excellent job it does of blurring the skin and covering redness. 

I am really pleased I picked this up, I love it. I have never used any foundations from Bourjois before but since I have started to use this I think I should purchase some more because I really am impressed.

REVIEW // MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush - DollyMix ♥

As I mentioned in my previous posts I had a little online haul during the 10% off at Debenhams, so today I am introducing you to item number 3. You can find my other 2 posts here and here :)

I really love MAC blushers I think they have excellent pigmentation and really impressive staying power, so I couldn't resist popping a blush in to my online shopping basket. I decided to go for 'Dollymix' mainly because I loved the name and the fact it was a vibrant pink and I looooooooove pink.

Dollymix is one of MAC's sheertone shimmer blushers, I don't actually own any of these all my MAC blushers are matte so this was a nice little change. In the pan Dollymix looks very intimidating but if applied with a light hand it leaves behind a gorgeous berry flush on the cheeks. I have been applying it with a stippling brush and that seems to be working perfectly for me. At first I was a little worried as it's a 'shimmer' blush and I normally steer towards matte blushers, but don't let that put you off. It's a micro fine shimmer which doesn't look overpowering but instead creates a healthy pink glow to the skin. I would have to question this being a 'sheer' blush though. It is incredibly pigmented hence me saying a light hand was needed when applying it. I love this blusher and glad I picked it up, its become my everyday go to, its perfect for days when you don't really want to do much but just want a pop of colour on the cheeks :)

REVIEW // The Balm - Nude Tude Eyeshadow Palette ♥

It seems ever since the popularity of the Urban Decay Naked palettes the world and his wife have been having a pop at creating their own versions. I am fairly new to theBalm but while I was having a browse on Feel Unique I came across some of their products and this eyeshadow palette really stood out to me.

The eyeshadows are homed inside a magnetic cardboard palette which feels really sturdy, I wouldn't worry if I accidentally dropped this or would I have any concerns about carrying it around in my handbag. The packaging is so lovely with a gorgeous vintage feel about it. The palette is held in a card sleeve which mimics all the same detailing as the actual palette itself. The palette also contains a double ended shadow/liner brush and a mirror that runs the length of the palette. I purchased Nude Tude for £26.50 off of Feel Unique which I don't feel is too expensive bearing in mind you get 12 shadows and a double ended brush.

Look how fun this palette is. I love the 1940s pin up vibe it's giving off, it's such a gorgeous addition to anyones make-up bag.

Sassy - highly pigmented frosted white.
Stubborn - pinky peach satin.
Selfish - satin taupe.
Sophisticated - bronze/brown with golden micro-glitters.
Sexy - matte burgundy.
Serious - Matte black.

Snobby - Frosted champagne gold.
Standoffish - frosted peachy/beige.
Sultry - Matte brown (tan).
Seductive - satin bronze.
Silly - deep matte brown with golden and red micro-glitters.
sleek - deep chocolate matte brown.

As you can see from my swatches the eyeshadows are wonderfully pigmented. They are really buttery in consistency which in turn makes them a pleasure to work with, they blend effortlessly leaving behind a gorgeous polished look. After not really hearing much about this palette actually nothing at all, I have been left feeling very impressed and would highly recommend it to my fellow nude lovers out there :)

REVIEW // MAC Cremesheen Lipstick - Creme Cup ♥

*NEW FAVOURITE LIPSTICK ALERT* 

In yesterdays post I mentioned I ordered a few bits off Debanhams online during their 10% off beauty sale, so today I am here to share with you item numero 2. If you missed yesterdays post you can find it here. 

As I sit here writing this post I am actually kicking myself as to why I didn't purchase this lipstick years ago, it's so amazingly gorgeous I am actually in love. 

Creme Cup is a gorgeous dusky pink shade which means it will compliment any make-up look you're wearing, weather it be a bold smokey eye or just an everyday natural look Creme Cup is the perfect partner. I can see this being my go to lipstick throughout Spring/Summer paired with a pretty pink blush and natural eyes.

Creme Cup is one of MACS Cremesheen lipsticks. With it's creamy consistency it glides on effortlessly  with an excellent opaque colour payoff. True to 'Cremesheen' form Creme Cup leaves a gorgeous glossy finish to the lips. I think this is a beautiful colour for all skin tones and with its pretty pink colour its ideal for using everyday. Creme Cup is a make-up bag must ladies so if you haven't already got it I couldn't recommend it enough!!

REVIEW // MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot - Chilled on Ice ♥

Hello lovelies, I hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend. Todays post is all about my latest Paint pot purchase Chilled on Ice. I have actually only very recently fallen in to the paint pot hype, I had always seen people rave about them but never got round to trying them myself, however before Christmas I treated myself to a few and kinda fell in love with them. So there I was at work the other day and thought to myself "I'll just have a little browse on the Debenhams website"… good job I did (maybe not a good job for my bank account however) as I was greeted with 10% off all beauty mmmm hmmm I'll have myself some of thaaaaaat!! If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen me post my naughty little haul (if you don't I'm over at Tiffanylouisemakeup come and say hi :)) I will begin by sharing this little beauty.

Chilled on Ice is described as a "frosted white gold." Its pale peach in colour with a bright golden shimmer running through. It has a mix of both warm and cool tones depending on the light you are in, It has the warmth of gold to flatter your completion but at the same time has the light reflecting cool 'frosted' tones which create an intense highlighting/brightening effect.

The pigmentation of Chilled on Ice is good but perhaps not as good as some other paint pots I own, it took a few layers to be completely opaque, If I am honest I'm not overly fussed about that because it gives you the option to wear it sheer if you wish. With it being so shimmery it actually looks really pretty just on its own.

The formula is quite dry compared to others which means it may take a little more patience to apply but this hasn't caused any issues for me, it doesn't crease or go blotchy on my eyes. The wear time is excellent, once its on this baby aint going nowhere.

Overal I am impressed by this and pleased I purchased it. MAC Paint Pots retail for £15 but as I got mine from Debenhams during the 10% off period I paid £13.50. Ps the 10% off on Debenhams beauty online ends this Sunday ;) you know you want to.

Starting At AOFM (Academy Of Freelance Make-Up)//First Day Nerves ♥

Happy Friday My Lovelies. 

Okay So if you follow me on Twitter (@TiffsBeautyBoxx) or Instagram (Tiffanylouise1711) you will have seen me banging on about my upcoming course at AOFM. I booked it nearly a year ago maybe even over a year ago actually and I can't believe it has come round so fast, my first day is tomorrow eeeeek!!! I am really really really excited but also nervous I guess thats just down to a fear of the unknown and the fact I need to commute to London and I am crap with trains hahaa!

Make-up is my passion and it would be a dream come true for me to be able to work within the make-up industry, thats why I decided to take a course at AOFM. Like most I have self taught myself the basic make-up skills from watching endless youtube tutorials and reading books, however I felt if I wanted to turn it in to my career I need a much deeper understanding of all the different types and styles of make-up. I know getting in to the make-up industry is a tough old nut to crack and by no means am I expecting to finish this course and be a full blown amazing make-up artist, it will take years of hard work and dedication and like most things practice is key. Its always good to have a dream and hopefully one day I can make mine come true. 

The course I am doing is called 'The Masters Certificate In Professional Make-up Artistry' I chose this one because it covers absolutely everything, it takes you right from the basics all the way to the much more advanced styles of make-up such as Avant Garde. Here is a link to show you a break down of everything covered. 

Now on to the good bit and this is where you lovely ladies might be able to help me :) One of the days on my course is a 'Professional kit building day' which basically means SHOPPING wahoooooooo!! We get taken around all the big names in make-up where we are offered exclusive discounts some are up to 50% OH MY GOD SO EXCITED!! Obviously it goes without saying I need to make a wish list for this day. MAC is going to be the most heavily discounted as it's a MAC registered school, also when I have completed my course I get my own MAC Pro Card so I need to know your must have Mac products. Your favourite eyeshadows, paint pots, Pigments, EVERYTHING what ever you recommend let me know :)

NARS Fairy's Kiss Eyeshadow Palette ♥

Hello Lovlies. 

I am an absolute sucker for NARS without a doubt it is my favourite Make-up brand I just don't think you can beat their products, nothing I have ever purchased from Nars has ever let me down or left me feeling disappointed. I would love to say my whole make-up collection is made up of Nars but who am I kidding we all know Nars products come with a very hefty price tag so when I do have a spurge it is a one off, I think I will start treating myself to one or maybe two things from Nars each pay day :) so maybe in like 100 years il own everything. When I heard about Fairy's Kiss palette I just knew I had to have it the name alone is gorgeous so I knew the colours inside would be. 

The packaging for the Palette is the cult Nars Packing Black with that rubbery feel to it which collects mucky make-up fingerprints like no ones business, but oh well. I love the nars packaging so simple yet so sophisticated. The Compact itself Is a Few inches bigger than the standard Blusher compact maybe the same size as the Laguna Bronzer compact but I don't have Laguna (BOOOO) so I cant compare but I know its bigger than the normal blushes. Homed Inside you get 6 eyeshadows which are a mix of shimmer and matte, they are much smaller than the single Nars eyeshadows but plenty big enough to work with and they will certainly last. The Palette cost me £32 gulp I know but I just couldn't resist and the colours were just soooooo pretty!! The colours are amazingly pigmented and I cant explain how they feel on the skin so soft and velvety and so easy to blend they are also very build-able. I think it's a gorgeous collection of colours for autumn and winter and its ideal for everyday use for subtle smokey eyes but also build-able so you can create that evening dark sexy smokey eye. The compact doesn't come with an applicator which I'm not overly fussed about as I never use the brushes that come with palettes, I guess some people may be annoyed that you don't get an applicator if you are paying that amount of money but for me it wasn't much of an issue.
Now on to colours *love heart eyes*

GORGEOUS!!! The top row of the palette contains quite a bronzy feel as you will see from my swatches later, the first colour is a beautiful rose gold colour, the second is a much stronger bronze but still holding on to the pinky tones and the last colour is a bronzy brown which makes a lovely colour for the crease of the eye, the top row all contain a pretty shimmer. The second row is more matte with only a slight shimmer in the first colour which is a really pretty purple, the second colour is a kind of charcoal grey with a purple undertone and then lastly we have a carbon black. The colours in this palette all work so well together I just loveeeeeee it.

(Im not sure why I have the hands of an 80 year old women I assure you I'm only 24 hahaaa)

FOTD-Subtle Purple Smokey Eye Using My CrownBrush Smoke It Out Palette ♥

Hello Lovelies, I thought I would do a FOTD post for you This evening, I have never done one before but they are something I definitely want to start doing more of  as I love reading them myself so I hope you Enjoy them. Today I was wearing a Subtle Purple smokey eye which I created using my CrownBrush Smoke It out Palette, I really couldn't recommend this palette enough such beautiful colours and for such amazing value I am so glad I purchased this little beaut I will link it below so you can check it out :)

Colours I used. 

I used number 1 as my base colour so I applied this all over my lid and up to the brow bone, I then took number 2 all over my lid, I then applied number 3 to the outer corner of my eye and half way over the lid, I then applied number 4 in to the crease and blended all the colours together. I used number 5 to line my upper and lower lash lines, it's a gorgeous aubergine colour so works really well as a liner I then went back to number 1 and applied a little more to my brow bone and also used it to highlight the inner corners of my eyes. I used My MAC powerpoint pencil liner in the colour stubborn brown for lining my waterline and Benefits They're Real Mascara for both upper and lower lashes. 

Brushes Used. 

A CrownBrush C139 Stiff Tapered Crease Brush for applying colour to the lids and brow bone, CrownBrush Bullet Brush (pink handle) for applying the bold colour to the crease, a MAC 224 Brush for blending all the colours Together and lastly a CrownBrush Angled Brush for Lining upper and lower lash lines.

Base Make-up Used.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in the colour 'Mont Blanc'. 

Nars Creamy Radiance Concealer in the colour 'Custard'. 

CrownBrush Concealer Palette for Highlighting.

Maybelline Fit Me Powder in the shade '125 Nude Beige' for setting.

Benefits 'Hoola' for a subtle contour. 

Illamasqua Blusher in the colour 'Morale'.

Soap And Glory's 'Glow All Out' for Highlighting Cheekbones and down my nose. 

Benefit 'Browzings' For filling in brows.

Sleek Lipstick in the colour 'Barely There'.
