NARS Larger Than Life Lipgloss - Odalisque ♥

Happy Friday my loves, hope you all have a lovely weekend planned. Todays post is about my latest NARS purchase. Now I have said this a million times before but il just say it again…NARS is my all time favourite make-up brand, if I was rich I would own everything they sell…but I'm not so I don't booooo hoooo. When I was last in Space NK this lipgloss caught my eye so I decided to treat myself ;).

Odalisque is a vibrant peachy/Orange colour with a very creamy and somewhat milky finish. Its a very thick gloss but I have found it doesn't feel overly tacky on the lips like some other thick glosses do. It feels moisturising on the lips even after the colour has worn off which is nice. Odalisque offers a semi opaque colour on the lips, If wearing this alone you will need at least 2 layers to really be able to see the vibrancy of this lipgloss. Its super glossy with a high shine finish, it makes the lips appear really plumped up and full. Odalisque is an unscented lipgloss.

Let me move on to the applicator brush. Its tiny, the smallest lipgloss brush I have ever seen. The pros to this is it gives precise application. The cons being with such a small brush it takes a while to cover the lips, its defiantly not a swipe and go lipgloss, a little more care is needed when applying.

I have been pairing this gloss with my MAC coral bliss lipstick (review here) and let me just tell you its a match made in lip heaven. The colours work so well together and popping Odalisque over the top of Coral Bliss really just makes it pop. LOVEEE IT.

Below is a picture of me wearing the lipgloss.

I really like this Lipgloss it works well on its own as well as layered with a lipstick, the formula is lovely and I love how it feels and make the lips look.

What do you think of Odalisque? Do you own any NARS lip glosses? Please feel free to leave your comments below or you can Tweet me over at @Tiffsbeautyboxx.

Thank you for reading. Loads of love Tiffany xxx

NARS Fairy's Kiss Eyeshadow Palette ♥

Hello Lovlies.

I am an absolute sucker for NARS without a doubt it is my favourite Make-up brand I just don't think you can beat their products, nothing I have ever purchased from Nars has ever let me down or left me feeling disappointed. I would love to say my whole make-up collection is made up of Nars but who am I kidding we all know Nars products come with a very hefty price tag so when I do have a spurge it is a one off, I think I will start treating myself to one or maybe two things from Nars each pay day :) so maybe in like 100 years il own everything. When I heard about Fairy's Kiss palette I just knew I had to have it the name alone is gorgeous so I knew the colours inside would be.

The packaging for the Palette is the cult Nars Packing Black with that rubbery feel to it which collects mucky make-up fingerprints like no ones business, but oh well. I love the nars packaging so simple yet so sophisticated. The Compact itself Is a Few inches bigger than the standard Blusher compact maybe the same size as the Laguna Bronzer compact but I don't have Laguna (BOOOO) so I cant compare but I know its bigger than the normal blushes. Homed Inside you get 6 eyeshadows which are a mix of shimmer and matte, they are much smaller than the single Nars eyeshadows but plenty big enough to work with and they will certainly last. The Palette cost me £32 gulp I know but I just couldn't resist and the colours were just soooooo pretty!! The colours are amazingly pigmented and I cant explain how they feel on the skin so soft and velvety and so easy to blend they are also very build-able. I think it's a gorgeous collection of colours for autumn and winter and its ideal for everyday use for subtle smokey eyes but also build-able so you can create that evening dark sexy smokey eye. The compact doesn't come with an applicator which I'm not overly fussed about as I never use the brushes that come with palettes, I guess some people may be annoyed that you don't get an applicator if you are paying that amount of money but for me it wasn't much of an issue.
Now on to colours *love heart eyes*

GORGEOUS!!! The top row of the palette contains quite a bronzy feel as you will see from my swatches later, the first colour is a beautiful rose gold colour, the second is a much stronger bronze but still holding on to the pinky tones and the last colour is a bronzy brown which makes a lovely colour for the crease of the eye, the top row all contain a pretty shimmer. The second row is more matte with only a slight shimmer in the first colour which is a really pretty purple, the second colour is a kind of charcoal grey with a purple undertone and then lastly we have a carbon black. The colours in this palette all work so well together I just loveeeeeee it.

(Im not sure why I have the hands of an 80 year old women I assure you I'm only 24 hahaaa)

What do you think of the Nars Fairy's Kiss Palette?! I will create a few looks using this and share them with you :) please leave me your comments I always read and reply to them so be sure to always check back or you can tweet me at @tiffsbeautyboxx thanks for reading lovelies loads of love Mwah xxx

Colours I used.

I used number 1 as my base colour so I applied this all over my lid and up to the brow bone, I then took number 2 all over my lid, I then applied number 3 to the outer corner of my eye and half way over the lid, I then applied number 4 in to the crease and blended all the colours together. I used number 5 to line my upper and lower lash lines, it's a gorgeous aubergine colour so works really well as a liner I then went back to number 1 and applied a little more to my brow bone and also used it to highlight the inner corners of my eyes. I used My MAC powerpoint pencil liner in the colour stubborn brown for lining my waterline and Benefits They're Real Mascara for both upper and lower lashes.

Brushes Used.

A CrownBrush C139 Stiff Tapered Crease Brush for applying colour to the lids and brow bone, CrownBrush Bullet Brush (pink handle) for applying the bold colour to the crease, a MAC 224 Brush for blending all the colours Together and lastly a CrownBrush Angled Brush for Lining upper and lower lash lines.

Whats In My Make-Up Bag//Updated ♥

Hello Beauties.
Today I thought I would do you an updated version of a 'Whats in my make-up bag post' I did one a while ago and if you missed that you can find it here, but since then I have changed a few items and of course adapted it for summer. Now I use the word Make-up bag loosely as I have quite a large selection of make-up so it actually all lives in draws but the products I am showing you are what I have been loving and what I've been using during the summer months. Enjoy dolls.

As I have said before I loveeeeeee foundations, Nars Sheer Glow which is pictured in the middle here is my holy grail foundation I love and I really do think it's the best around and it's the one I reach for most days, however I just cant help myself from testing out others. on the left we have the YSL Touché Éclat foundation, this is a gorgeous Foundation It really does make the skin glow and look really dewy I find it has a light to medium coverage but it is build-able if you like a fuller coverage. On the end we have mac Face and Body, I used this a lot over the summer and especially in America as it's nice and light wearing and water resistant again this is build-able but I would say definitely the lightest coverage out of all 3 of these foundations.

In terms of concealers I am still loving The Rimmel match perfection 2in1 highlighter and conceal pen I think it does a great job at highlighting the face and I use this everyday this is like my 6th pen I'm on now, it's not so great for concealing tough blemishes though hence why I also use the Nars creamy radiance concealer for those days when you have more to cover.

I received Hoola for my birthday off my friend and I have been loving it, it's the perfect colour to create the look of a natural tan it is also amazing for everyday contouring because of its matte finish. It is defiantly now my new fave. The Bourjois Cream Blushers have been a hit for everyone this summer I think, they give a gorgeous dewy natural pop of colour to the skin I went for the lightest pinky shade from the collection. Lastly my Illamasqua Blush in Morale my goodness this is GORGEOUS! I purchased this when I was in America it looks really shocking in the pan but it wears on the skin as a really pearly baby pink its just the best.

I am still loving They're Real by Benefit I just don't think you can beat the length this mascara gives its amazing. Scandaleyes Retro Glam by Rimmel is also Another beauty it gives really impressive volume to lashes and gives them  really that 60s flared out feel.

Im loving the Loreal Super Liner Brow Artist, its ideal for everyday soft brows and I love the fact there is a setting wax on the end to keep your brows fixed all day. When I want a more dramatic brow I still use my Brow-zings by Benefit.

I have been using a whole host of products on my lips recently so the above photo is a little selection of some of my faves. The Maybelline COLORsensational lipsticks (full post here), of course the ever famous Baby Lips In pink punch, My NARS velvet lip pencil in the colour Sex Machine and The Bourjois Color Boost Lip Pencil.

My 'Everyday' Make-up

Thank you for reading I hope you have enjoyed seeing the products Ive been using lately. Please leave me your comments I love reading them and appreciate every one I get :)

Lots Of Love

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation Review ♥

I have always been a slave to MAC Studio Fix Fluid I have used it for years and out of habit I always just used to re-buy, however I don't think it staying power is that good well not on my skin anyways by mid morning it would be quite patchy and I would always have to re do my make-up after lunch even with a primer. I started a bit of online research in to other foundations and read a few blogs on Estee Lauder double wear so I decided to give it a go, I really couldn't decide if I liked it or not it DID stay on all day without patching and it did give a really good cover but I found it was just so hard to work with once its on its on and doesn't leave much room for manoeuvre I also felt like my skin couldn't breathe.
I was reading through blogs last week and I came across a few on NARS Sheer Glow Foundation all of the blogs I read had really good things to say about it, so I took myself off to my local Space NK to check it out :)
The lady who served me was in fact wearing it and it looked amazing on her so I was even more keen to get some, so she matched me up and I purchased some, it cost £30.50.

What NARS says: "NARS reinvents foundation with modern formulations designed to enhance your natural complexion without masking it. This sheer weightless formula glides on effortlessly, blurring imperfections and evening skin tone for the ultimate sophisticated finish that allows your skins natural beauty to shine through. NARS' exclusive complexion brightening formula evens and illuminates skin for an immaculate glow. Can be layered to achieve your desired coverage and finish.
If used daily your skins texture improves over time becoming softer, smoother and more luminous".

What I say: WOW!! I think I could actually sing about this foundation!! Its by far the best foundation I have ever used (so far) I am so impressed, I think it really does what it claims!! I was a bit sceptical about the fact it was a 'sheer' foundation as I do like quite a full and flawless coverage, but this is perfect its buildable without looking cakey so if like me you have a few things you need to cover you can build it up to your desired coverage and still look natural but I must admit I did only use a blob and that was more than enough for a perfect flawless cover :)
Its a lot runnier than what I have been used to in the past but it goes on an absolute dream and is so easy to apply it just melts on to the skin.
It makes my skin appear flawless with a really healthy glow, something I've never had from a foundation before, it really does brighten and make your skin look really awake. It also has fab staying power it lasted all day and didnt patch at all!!
I honestly am so so impressed and I am so happy I decided to bite the bullet and try something different!! I am just annoyed I didn't try it sooner!! 10/10 from me!!!

My shade : Mont Blanc Light 2.

Packaging:

Bottle:
Like most foundations this doesn't come with a pump and annoyingly I forgot to buy one so I will have to pop back and buy one as otherwise I find you get a lot of waste.

Me completely make-up free:
As you can see I have a fair amount to cover as I have quite a bit of redness around my nose and on my cheeks and chin I also have a couple of spots you can see :( one on my chin and the other on my cheek.

Me with Sheer Glow:
In this photo I have used only one layer of sheer glow I have no other products on or any concealer, you can see it has completely covered my skin all the redness and even the 2 spots which I am really impressed with as my foundations in the past have never covered up spots alone :)

Brushes used:
To apply foundation I always use my MAC 187 duo fibre face brush and this worked perfectly with Sheer Glow :)

Thank you for reading my post :) I really would recommend this foundation!! Please comment with any questions or if you use any foundations that you think are really good, let me know as I am always on the look out for new products. I was tempted by the Dior Forever foundation and the Chanel lumiere Foundation if anyone has used these please let me know what you think. I read and reply to all my comments and really do appreciate them.
lots of love
