New Sleek Goodies ♥

Hello Lovelies!!
Ahhhhh I have had such a busy week, this is the first 5 minutes I have had to myself so I thought I would spend the time wisely and tell you about my new Sleek make-up purchases, enjoy :)

I am quite a newbie to Sleek I must admit, I had never tried any of their products until I received the I-Divine palette for Christmas last year and instantly fell in love with it, so ever since then I have been quite a fan of there amazing products and the amazing price tags!!!
I have been on the hunt for a really bright pink blusher, I was going to fork out for a NARS one but then I remembered seeing so many reviews on how amazing the Sleek blushers are and many people had actually compared them to NARS so I popped in to Superdrug to see what I could find.

Sleek Blush In Pixie Pink.

This is just the kind of colour I was looking for, a really nice bright pink perfect for the summer, I was really impressed with the pigmentation of this blusher especially for the price you pay (£4.49) Bargain!! I just apply this to the apples of my checks and it gives a really nice pop of colour. Its a matte blusher so it doesn't have a shimmer which for me is perfect as im quite a fan of highlighters so when my blushers are also shimmery I look like a glitter ball haha (we all know the problem)
The packaging is also really nice its really sturdy and looks really neat, the only problem I have is I find it really hard to open, its quite fiddly which is a pain when im rushing in the morning but apart from that I cant complain about anything else, I am really impressed :)

Sleek Luminous Pressed Powder in 01.

So I was watching a Tutorial by Samantha Chapman (Pixiwoo) and she used this powder, I really liked how it looked on her so of course I had to go and investigate it for myself.
This powder contains SPF 15 which is a bonus it is also infused with light reflecting pigments for a fresh dewy glow.
when I first opened it I must admit my heart sank a little as it looked really shimmery something I wasn't really sure I wanted from a powder but when I tried it I was really impressed, it doesn't make you look glittery at all which is what I was afraid of, it actually makes your make-up look really flawless and it gives a really subtle glow which is really flattering especially in natural light. After I have set my foundation with my NARS Loose Powder I lightly apply this all over my face. I don't think I would rely on this purely for coverage as I don't actually think the coverage is that amazing but for a nice natural glow over foundation its perfect :)  They only have 4 shades of this powder but 01 matches me just fine, the price of this powder is £6.99 again Bargain!!

here's a little photo of me with my goodies on not a great picture of the individual products on my face but a photo none the less :)

overall I was very impressed with my sleek buys, what are your favourite Sleek products?? Please leave me your comments I always read and reply to them :)
Thank you for reading!!

Real Techniques ♥

Okay so as some of you might know last week I purchased my first Real Technique Brushes I got the Expert Face Brush and the Powder Brush, if you missed that post you can find it here.
Its not even been a week since I brought them and I have already gone back to boots to buy more I AM IN LOVE!! I cant believe I hadn't tried them sooner I absolutely love them.
Luckily boots still had their 3 for 2 on so I purchased another 3, im already itching to get more.
So here's what I got :)

One thing I love about the Real Technique brushes is that they are colour co-ordinated, so as you can see these have a pink metallic handle which is the 'Your finish/Perfected' collection.

Blush Brush:
Im in love with this brush, its so so soft and just feels amazing against your skin, it also holds the perfect amount of  blusher and applies it evenly to your face, the perfect shape of this brush also makes applying your blusher a breeze just one sweep to perfect blusher :)
10/10 for this brush!!!!

Stippling Brush:

You can use this brush with all sorts of products which is a winner, I have been using it for foundation and cream highlighters. It applies foundation evenly and flawlessly but without giving that cakey effect, it makes your foundation look really natural which is perfect for everyday make-up :) Its also great for Applying cream stick highlighters to the cheekbones.

Setting Brush:
I love love loveeeee this little brush I am using it to apply powder highlighter to my cheekbones and nose, its the perfect shape and it applies just the right amount of product for a really nice glow.
You can also use it for contouring and as the name suggests setting concealer :)
Guess what another 10/10 from me!!!

I really am so impressed with these brushes I cant say enough about them, I am determined to own the whole collection :)
What I also love about this range of brushes is there are online step by step tutorials which show you all the different ways to use the brushes which is super handy click here to visit the website. For those of you that don't know the creator of these wonderful brushes is Samantha Chapman who of course is one of the lovely pixiwoo ladies so no wonder the brushes are so amazing :)

Please leave me your comments I love reading them and will always reply to you, what are your favourite brushes? have you used Real Techniques?

3 for 2 at Boots ♥

I love Boots its one of those places where you go in for one thing and come out with hundreds!! I needed some Toothpaste (whayyyyy) so in to Boots I went, I soon realised it was 3 for 2 on all beauty products (uhh ohh) I also had some Advantage card vouchers that I had been sent last month and needed to use up, they were for double points so I decided to have a little look around and see what bargains I could find. I found myself in the 'make-up tools' section and saw all the brushes were in the 3 for 2 offer I couldn't resist.

My Bargains:
I have read so so so many amazing reviews on Real Techniques and every time I watch YouTube tutorials I swear they always use them. I didn't actually know Boots sold Them im sure if  I did I would have purchased them a long time ago, so you can imagine how happy I was when I saw them and the fact they were in the 3 for 2!!! I also got a Ecotools brush another make I have never used before but have read equally good reviews on.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush £9.99:
This Brush is for cream or liquid foundation application. I am actually in love with this brush and dare I say it but I actually prefer it to my Mac duo fibre face brush!! I love the shape and the firm bristles, it makes foundation application effortless and the shape really helps you get in all the hard to reach areas on your face resulting in perfect flawless application :) 10/10 from me.

Real Techniques Powder Brush £12.99:
This brush is another winner in my eyes its super soft and really big so putting on powder is so easy. It really picks up the powder and holds on to it as sometimes I find I really have to rub my brush around before it picks any powder up but this I just dap in it and there's plenty on there. Another 10/10

Ecotools Domed Bronzer Brush £10.99:
This is a gorgeous brush the handle is lovely and big and the bristles are again super soft, my bronzer brush before was a lot harder so this new one will take a little getting used to as I think im going to have to be a bit more rough when picking up the bronzer but nevertheless I love it, it also comes with a really cute 'eco pouch' to keep it in :)

So as I said I got these brushes in the 3 for 2 sale so I managed to get all three of these brushes for £23.98 instead of £33.97 which I think it a total bargain seeing as some high end make up brushes would cost A LOT more for just one brush!!! I also earned my self £5 in Boots advantage card points woohoo!!

Leave me your comments as I always read and reply to them :) have you used any of these brushes? what do you think? what are your favourite brushes?

Moroccanoil ♥

I have been reading post after post after post on Moroccanoil it seems everybody is using it and not one person has anything bad to say about it, so being the beauty junkie I am I just had to go and buy some.
I only brought some last weekend so I have only used it a few times, I will do a full review when I have been using it for at least 6 weeks This is just a little informative post on the product for the time being :)

Product info:
Taken from the Moroccanoil website: "Moroccanoil® Treatment’s versatile, nourishing and residue-free formula can be used as a conditioning, styling and finishing tool. It blends perfectly with other products and even speeds up drying time. Price: £30.45

Bottle and Packaging:

I really love the packaging and bottle its so eye-catching, also the fact that it actually came with a pump is really handy, the price is quite steep but I am hoping it will be worth the money :)

Models Own Fruit Pastel Collection ♥

I have been desperate to get my mitts on this gorgeous collection since it was launched and after pay day this month I thought enough waiting and I ordered it!!
I know you can now get Models Own from a few high street stores but I always order mine off the Models Own website for a few reasons, firstly waiting for them to arrive in the post gives you something to look forward to, secondly I am a sucker for a nice bit of packaging and I absolutely love the boxes the polishes come in and thirdly when you order them online you save yourself some money (we all love a saving) there are 5 polishes in the collection and they retail separately for £5 however when you buy a box set from the website which contains all 5 polishes you only pay £20 which is a saving of £5 or a free nail polish which ever way you want to look at it :) Bargain!!
Now on to the important stuff....

The Polishes:
The Fruit Pastel Collection is made up of a selection of absolutely gorgeous pastel colours perfect for the upcoming spring and summer although us poor English lot haven't seen spring yet, however these polishes are enough to brighten your day regardless of the weather. They are also scented!! They smell super fruity and the bottles come with retro scratch and sniff stickers on the lids, everything about this collection is super cute :)

                                                              Packaging:

The Bottles:
The Colours:
From Left To Right: Blueberry muffin, Strawberry Tart, Apple Pie, Grape Juice and Banana Split.
I apologise about the state of my nails this cold weather is doing my hands no favours!! As you can see these colours are really vibrant, I used 2 coats of each polish and that was more than enough for perfect coverage.
when you are applying the polish it smells like a normal nail varnish but once it starts to dry you can really smell the scents and they actually smell really nice, kind of like the scented gel pens you used to get when you were younger haha! I think its such a sweet novelty touch by Models Own!
Added Bonus:
I had no idea I was going to be sent the mini 4 way file with my polishes so that was a lovely little added bonus :)

I love Models Own and I think there nail polishes are amazing quality and really really reasonably priced when compared to other well known brands. I see they are due to launch their new Artstix Duo Polishes which will be available to buy online from April 15th and available from Boots on the 17th of April. I cant wait to try these they look amazing!!

Soap and Glory-Scrub Your Nose In It ♥

Hello Lovelies!!
I wanted to do a quick post on one of my all time favourite face products 'soap and glory's Scrub Your Nose In It' because ...well I think it really deserves one!!
I have been using this product for years, I first came across it when I was desperately searching the shelves in Boots for a product that was actually going to help my skin and not make it worse which most drug store skin products seemed to do and believe me I had tried EVERYTHING. I used to suffer with really bad skin when I was younger I also had/still have very sensitive skin which can be extremely temperamental, even to this day though my skin is now clear I get scared of using new products in case my skin flares up.
Anyway so there I was scanning the shelves and Scrub Your Nose In It caught my eye, I wont lie the reason it caught my eye was purely because it was in a pink tube and I really liked the style of it (well done Soap and Glory) so I had a read of the back liked what it said and thought I would try it out, how glad I am that I did :)

The Product:
in the words of Soap and Glory: "At last - a simple solution for large pores and clogging. Just Scrub Your Nose In It™ with this amazing face scrub. Our fruit-acid formula leaves skin looking bright and radiant."
As the name suggests it is a scrub but its so fine that it is gentle enough to use everyday, it also doubles up as a mask Soap and Glory say: "Just leave a thin layer on skin 3 minutes longer for an oil absorbing, brightening pore cleansing mask." I often use it as a mask before a night out or if I am having a bad skin day.
I really don't think I could say enough amazing things about this product after I have used it my skin always look flawless and radiant, it absorbs any excess oils on the face and leaves your skin soft and smooth.
Although the product doesn't claim to 'clear' skin up or be a 'spot' treatment in anyway it really did wonders for my skin, with regular use my spots slowly started to disappear.
Even my Brother uses this (he will kill me for announcing that haha) he works with food so his skin is very oily and greasy from work and he is prone to breakouts, he had run out of his own face wash so grabbed the nearest thing to him around the sink which happened to be Scrub Your Nose In It he liked it so much he carried on using it (without asking I might add) until I noticed It was quickly going down, so I went to blame my mum and my brother was like umm sorry its me using it, so next time I went to get some I got some for him and he's been using it ever since, he finds it really clears his skin up to and removes ALL traces of oil.
It smells amazing too its minty and fruity at the same time if that makes sense so you really do get that super fresh feeling.
I purchase it from Boots they sell it for £7.50 for 125ml, Boots more often than not has 3 for 2 on all beauty and skincare products so I always stock up and it lasts a long time as you only need a pea sized amount.

If you didn't already guess I would give this product an easy 10/10!!! Its by far my favourite product in my skincare routine and its in a pretty pink tube bonus :)

Thank you for taking the time to ready my post please comment below with any questions or recommendations of your own, have you used this? what did you think? let me know I read and appreciate all of your comments :)

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation Review ♥

I have always been a slave to MAC Studio Fix Fluid I have used it for years and out of habit I always just used to re-buy, however I don't think it staying power is that good well not on my skin anyways by mid morning it would be quite patchy and I would always have to re do my make-up after lunch even with a primer. I started a bit of online research in to other foundations and read a few blogs on Estee Lauder double wear so I decided to give it a go, I really couldn't decide if I liked it or not it DID stay on all day without patching and it did give a really good cover but I found it was just so hard to work with once its on its on and doesn't leave much room for manoeuvre I also felt like my skin couldn't breathe.
I was reading through blogs last week and I came across a few on NARS Sheer Glow Foundation all of the blogs I read had really good things to say about it, so I took myself off to my local Space NK to check it out :)
The lady who served me was in fact wearing it and it looked amazing on her so I was even more keen to get some, so she matched me up and I purchased some, it cost £30.50.

What NARS says: "NARS reinvents foundation with modern formulations designed to enhance your natural complexion without masking it. This sheer weightless formula glides on effortlessly, blurring imperfections and evening skin tone for the ultimate sophisticated finish that allows your skins natural beauty to shine through. NARS' exclusive complexion brightening formula evens and illuminates skin for an immaculate glow. Can be layered to achieve your desired coverage and finish.
If used daily your skins texture improves over time becoming softer, smoother and more luminous".

What I say: WOW!! I think I could actually sing about this foundation!! Its by far the best foundation I have ever used (so far) I am so impressed, I think it really does what it claims!! I was a bit sceptical about the fact it was a 'sheer' foundation as I do like quite a full and flawless coverage, but this is perfect its buildable without looking cakey so if like me you have a few things you need to cover you can build it up to your desired coverage and still look natural but I must admit I did only use a blob and that was more than enough for a perfect flawless cover :)
Its a lot runnier than what I have been used to in the past but it goes on an absolute dream and is so easy to apply it just melts on to the skin.
It makes my skin appear flawless with a really healthy glow, something I've never had from a foundation before, it really does brighten and make your skin look really awake. It also has fab staying power it lasted all day and didnt patch at all!!
I honestly am so so impressed and I am so happy I decided to bite the bullet and try something different!! I am just annoyed I didn't try it sooner!! 10/10 from me!!!

My shade : Mont Blanc Light 2.

Packaging:

Bottle:
Like most foundations this doesn't come with a pump and annoyingly I forgot to buy one so I will have to pop back and buy one as otherwise I find you get a lot of waste.

Me completely make-up free:
As you can see I have a fair amount to cover as I have quite a bit of redness around my nose and on my cheeks and chin I also have a couple of spots you can see :( one on my chin and the other on my cheek.

Me with Sheer Glow:
In this photo I have used only one layer of sheer glow I have no other products on or any concealer, you can see it has completely covered my skin all the redness and even the 2 spots which I am really impressed with as my foundations in the past have never covered up spots alone :)

Brushes used:
To apply foundation I always use my MAC 187 duo fibre face brush and this worked perfectly with Sheer Glow :)

Thank you for reading my post :) I really would recommend this foundation!! Please comment with any questions or if you use any foundations that you think are really good, let me know as I am always on the look out for new products. I was tempted by the Dior Forever foundation and the Chanel lumiere Foundation if anyone has used these please let me know what you think. I read and reply to all my comments and really do appreciate them.
lots of love
